Homework for Week 1 of ‘Super Troopers Programme’ Get everyone in the family involved. 

Monday- In & Outs (40 seconds, rest for 1 min. Repeat 5 times)our own dance
Tuesday- Create your own dance. Teach the dance to someone.
Wednesday- Play catch for 15 mins. 
Thursday- Up & Downs (40 sec, rest for 1 min. Repeat 5 times)
Weekend- Set up an obstacle (include- running, jumping, hopping, crawling)
 
 
Week 2- Remember to check out the Super Trooper Activities especially  ‘Hit the Deck’ which the children had great fun playing in school. 
 
Week 3- This week why not check out the following Safe Food link and start to talk to your children about healthy choices.

Week 4- Have fun playing Freeze Tag, Tug-of-War and Musical Statues as a family. 
 
Week 5- Now that we are all trying to get back to normal after the holidays is a good time to get back to ‘Super Troopers’. This week we are all going to try out some fruit and/or vegetables that we have not tasted before or ones that we think we don’t like! Don’t forget to jot down the ones you try out and remember to get the whole family involved!
 
Week 6- We all need as much help as we can to fight off the winter colds and flu. Fruit and vegetables are a great source of vitamins, mineral.s and fibre. Children are encouraged, with your support, to try out a fruit or vegetable smoothie this week. Why not send in the recipe and share with all of us. Children are to try having six to eight drinks a day also! (All drinks count).
 
Week 7 -Calcium helps to keep our bones strong. We need strong bones to exercise and for health.
Between 3-9 years you need 3 servings of calcium.
Between 9-18 years you need 5 servings of calcium.
A serving is 200ml of milk, a matchbox size piece of cheese (25g), a pot of yogurt (120ml)
 
Homework: Find out what dairy products are in the dairy isle of the supermarket? 
 
Week 8- Try having 6 to 8 drinks a day this week. (Hot drinks, water, milk are best).
 
Homework- Try a smoothie.
                           Record your drinks for the week.
